16 Languages Unlimited Workshops!

Performing International Plays (PIP) is a provider of educational resources, school workshops and teacher CPDs exploring contemporary plays from around the workd. Our mission is to make every pupil feel represented by engaging with a variety of cultures and languages through drama. In partnership with Foreign Affairs theatre company, we offer young people in secondary schools opportunities to connect with important stories, characters and themes by a diverse set of playwrights who write in languages other than English. We want to expand the curriculum through international drama, exploring intercultural skills and competencies in a safe space. With our workshops, we develop young people's international cultural capital through hands-on devising, scene studies and collaborative translation for the stage.

NEWS FLASH: We are a Music & Drama Education Awards 2025 Finalist, in the Outstanding Drama Initiative category!

SPOTLIGHT: The Grain Store by Natal’ya Vorozbhit

Based on the terror-famine that caused seven million deaths in Ukraine and neighbouring lands in the 1930s, Vorozhbit’s play illustrates the consequences of Stalin's first five-year-plan on a small Ukranian village.

This month we’re highlighting Natal’ya Vorozghit’s play The Grain Store, a powerful documentary drama set in Ukraine, exploring the impact of horrific terror on a small village.

The play features 13 characters and is available with video excerpts in its original language Russian, in an English translation and an interview with the cast and creatives.
