How to use Performing International Plays
Welcome to Performing International Plays.
Here you will discover 21 international plays, written or translated into English from 15 languages, from countries across 6 continents.
Videos
Each play comes with a variety of resources; five of our plays (A Fable for Now, Fireworks, I See You, The Concert and The Grain Store) come with filmed excerpts featuring professional actors, performing the plays in their original language, in the published English translations and in brand new adaptations set in different contexts.
Education resources
These plays, and all other plays showcased on the site, come with free education packs, which explore key themes and ideas. Each one includes a synopsis, key scene breakdowns and exercises to use in the classroom. Alongside this, a number of our plays come with in-depth essays by leading academics, to help you and your students delve deeper.

You can find out more about the cast and creatives behind each play on our ‘People’ page. This features profiles of everyone involved in performing, directing, producing, translating, adapting, researching and writing about these texts.
